​Created in 1999 by graphic designer Sean Campbell, the Labrys Lesbian Pride flag features the traditional lesbian flag background and two powerful historical symbols:

The Black Triangle: Roots back to the symbol used in World War II to designate non-conforming, independent, or asocial women, which was later reclaimed by the lesbian feminist movement as a symbol of strength and survival.
